Go Kart Motors How Do You Hook Up A Battery To A Go Kart Motor?

How do you hook up a battery to a go kart motor? - go kart motors

How do I connect a car battery, a regular go-kart motor.
I want a go-kart I have headlights and I'm not sure what I'm doing, or where it is still possible.

The engine is probably not determined by a system of fees.

Do not waste your time trying.

Hi Jeanna,

Well, first of all, a go cart motor is very much like a lawn mower motor. It doesn't use a "battery" like a car engine would. It get's started with a "pull cord".

If you want to install headlights on your go cart, you can go two ways ... 1) Use lights from a bicycle that are powered by a rotating
generator that rubs up against one of the tires ... or 2) You can hook up regular CAR headlights by connecting them to a car battery that needs to be recharged every 15 minutes or so.
3) I suppose, you could hook up a car alternator to your go cart engine using a belt drive. This alternator would then keep your 12 car battery charged and thus run your car headlights quite well. It's a MAJOR bit of home garage engineering, but, it's possible.

HAVE FUN, but be very careful riding your go cart in the dark. Victor LeMire
